December 2020

As everyone cries good riddance to 2020 it is understandable - however to do it without thought is to ignore achievements - 2020 has changed your lifestyle - you have had to adapt and do different things - you are here, you have achieved! This can certainly be said of db Fit club members, db Polers Nordic walking club and those who I have taught to Nordic Walk between lockdowns, well done to you all - all of you are achievers and have used the leverage of covid to enhance your lives…..be proud and be loud as we start a new year….

A few pics for db Polers nordic walking Sunday club - 27/12/2020 - Liskeard long loop from Doublebois taking in Moorswater viaduct, a swift 9 miler, looks like we are doing tour of Brunels rail bridges at the moment!!

During Xmas week most gyms close down studios to classes - we took the decision to keep our on line classes going and the members have smashed the attendances - biggest well done to db fit club gang!!! We kept it going as the fitness industry as a whole is preaching fitness for mental health,, very true and we know it is required more now than ever, however if this is the case we have to offer something at a time when the mental health pressure is at its highest. - Also heard (and saw pics) of an out door gym in East London - pre covid £40 a month, during £80 a fortnight - another BAD mark for the fitness industry, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask!!!!!

Shop around guys, get to the on line sessions, you don't have to stay in your area anymore - you have loads of choice now and will find something that suits you - get on line PT - just move, and stay healthy

Next weeks New Years programme is below

Stay safe

It was a fantastic Nordic Walk in Lostwithiel, only 24 hrs earlier t=it had looked in doubt with the area being flooded, however it may have been boggy in parts, but the nature reserve, river walk and Lostwithiel itself was well worth the effort and we look forward to re visiting in the spring/summer. Anne returned and along with Rob, Gary and Alan Lemons were squashed and dories told as we created new memories and tales to be spoken in the future……..

IT'S CHRISTMAS WEEK!!!!

Above all stay safe and whatever you do have a good time - whilst fitness can take a back burner at this time of year it is good to tick over and best to not totally stop activities. A lot of gyms will close the studios for classes, Lesu classes sawmill continue on line as normal with a few tweaks to timings - Xmas day is a 20 min Isometric session. Xmas week programme is below along with the January Nordic Walking

schedule.

Awesome adventure walk - Cawsand bay v quiet - Rame head blowing a hooligan! db polers club are at it again!!

As xmas is upon us peoples art to look at next year and think of setting ridiculous targets where they will get super fit, lose weight and change their lives - ……..and by the end of the first week of the year they have failed……….these are the same people who are waiting for covid to be eradicated so they can say that they wished they had given on line fitness a go, but it's too late now.!!

Take responsibility - don't be a sheep, don't be a couch potato - on line is here to stay - it is inexpensive - it's at home - you have nothing to lose !

Our adventure Nordic walks continue this Sunday with Cawsand bay to Rame head point - the weather looks decidedly wet and windy - so we will check out if the weather man has the prediction right.

Week programme is below - remember taster sessions and courses for nordic walking are arranged at a time to suit you and as 121 are at no extra cost - get out and have fun and we will get you fit.

Stay safe everyone
